Theater and Puppetry

In 2009, I apprenticed with the legendary Bread and Puppet Theater and took a workshop about playwriting and collaborative process with experimental theater trailblazers the Missoula Oblongata. Shortly thereafter, I began working and touring with several theater companies, including Eternal Cult (Minneapolis), Passage Theatre Company (Trenton), and Tight Braid Group (Brooklyn/Chicago). In addition to acting in productions, I make sets, props, costumes, and puppets. These projects make use of my experience as an object-maker, a collaborator, and a performer.

After playing Enjolras in Less Miserable (2012), I began collaborating regularly with Donna Oblongata, a theater artist and writer living in Southwest Philadelphia. Our two-person show, The 7-Person Chair Pyramid High-Wire Act: A Play (written by Donna, created and performed by Donna and I, and directed by Sarah Lowry) was selected to be a part of ANT Fest 2018 at Ars Nova (New York), after we had completed several tours throughout North America, Europe, and New Zealand between 2013 and 2016. In addition to making plays together, we were hired to be resident artists at the 2014 People’s Climate March (New York).
